Screen Features
16:9 Format, 5.8" wide-screen colour monitor with integrated loudspeaker
The TFT quick release display has a 16:9 aspect ratio for optimal viewing. The 5.8' size provides optimised guidance information via clear colour scrolling map and pictograms at the same time, or indeed separately. The screen is very high definition in performance and features automatic brightness control, with manual override. This very slim unit also contains speaker and auxiliary video input socket.

Scrolling map
During map presentation the current car position is held at the centre of the screen whilst the map scrolls around the car position, providing maximum readability, making orientation much easier. It is also possible to switch to the classical map presentation with a moving car on a fixed map.

Dynamic Navigation (with optional RDS-TMC receiver)
The MS 5400 is compatible with the Traffic Management system MT5010 (RDS-TMC receiver, RDS-Traffic Message Channel). This information is shown on the display and used to calculate an alternative route. This 'intelligent' system allows the driver to avoid known traffic problems throughout most of Western Europe

With MS 5400, the choice is yours. You can choose from 8 combinations of route planning

• Fastest route
• Shortest route
• Mainly using Motorways
• Avoid Motorways

In addition one can select whether or not to avoid Toll roads and apply that to your preferred route method.

Multiple language & voice styles for oral instruction
We are continuously releasing new languages for this multimedia system. At the moment 9 different languages are available, most of which are switchable between male or female voice.

Multiple night colour settings
It is possible to select the colour of the display to match to your dashboard instrumentation or provide easier viewing to drivers with colour recognition problems. In addition there are special, low distraction night settings as well.

IR remote control
The wireless remote control is very intuitive and extremely easy to use.

DIN size car computer
The car computer has the same size as a standard car radio and thus can be simply mounted in most spare DIN vehicle radio apertures or with use of the optional DIN sleeve, separately virtually anywhere else.
