with VDO Dayton, during your journey you can call up useful systems
such as: driver adjustable over-speed alert, Speed Camera Proximity
Alert, nearest service station (with full guidance, naturally!) average
/ current speed, distance travelled, time taken so far and a host of
other useful databases with guidance, including: hotels, Campsites,
tourist offices, industrial estates etc.

Thanks to VDO Dayton's innovative Dynamic Navigation option, you can even cope with unanticipated traffic congestion en-route, using up to the minute traffic information. The information is analysed by the VDO Dayton Navigation Computer and used to calculate the pros and cons of alternative routes. But no matter how advanced our navigational technology may be, we always remember who is in charge. The VDO system will not take you on an altered route, unless first approved by you. Whether you are using the VDO Dayton in-car navigation system for business or leisure, you can be assured of stress free enjoyable motoring. - Unlike Tom Tom style GPS portable units, VDO Dayton systems will never desert you, just because there are buildings / obstructions in the proximity of the vehicle restricting GPS signal reception. VDO systems also take, among other things, accurate distance data direct from your vehicle and couples it to its own very sophisticated military style fully electronic gyro.
